Shopping - a shopper's paradise is just minutes away for Sherwood residents! Sherwood is conveniently located to regional centers with major department stores, and adjacent Westlake Village features a number of quaint shopping plazas with upscale shops, specialty boutiques and everything in between.

Recreation - with 13,000 acres of open space and 33 developed parks around Thousand Oaks, outdoor recreation is a way of life for Sherwood residents.  There are 75 miles of established trails for hiking, biking and equestrian pleasure.  In addition, there are five play field parks for organized sports.  Residents of Sherwood may also enjoy such activities as fishing, sailing and kayaking on Lake Sherwood, the community's private 165-acre lake.

Entertainment and Dining - in addition to the dining opportunites members enjoy at the Club, abundant entertainment and dining choices are just minutes outside the Club's gates.  The Thousand Oaks Civic Arts Plaza offers cultural, educational and entertainment programs, and features an 1,800-seat Performing Arts Center, a 400-seat Forum Theater, a five-acre park and City Hall.  The Civic Arts Plaza hosts Broadway musicals, plays, dance companies and star performers throughout the year.  In addition, both Westlake Village and Thousand Oaks have a number of award-winning restaurants featuring gourmet and ethnic cuisines, as well as a myriad of choices for casual dining.

Airports - Sherwood is serviced by two major airports: Los Angeles International Airport (LAX) and Burbank Airport (BUR), as well as Van Nuys, Oxnard and Camarillo airports which accommodate private and corporate planes.
